Character Applications primarily consist of a Character Stats, the Characters Vitals and the Characters Written Info. As players work on setting up their characters application they will be asked to copy/paste and fill out this information into an email.

Setting  Character Stats is a rather straight forward process. The character is given a set number of points to spend in each section to build their sheet. As noted in many places, CN has done away with the prioritization of attribute and ability categories. Instead players are given a lump of points in each section to spend freely within the outlined section and system rules.

Character Vitals are used to create a detailed account of the characters past and present identity. This can be used to not only help the player build a characters history, but also to aid story tellers and staff as the game and character progress.

Below players will find the Character Application Section walk-throughs and templates to be copy/pasted. The staff email can be located at the end of the walk-through.

Finally, the Characters Written Info is used to complete their concept. This section includes their Timeline and Public Info sections as well as any templates or justifications that the application may require. Staff have worked hard to make this process as simple as possible and have provided a detailed walk through for each character type, complete with hints and tips to aid players along the way.

When preparing the application, players should copy/paste the blank application into their email and fill it out. This can also be done in a word document and uploaded as an attachment. Staff ask that players not change the format of the application. Please do not attempt to recreate the character page, as this will slow down the staff-side of applications and may result in your application being denied.

Once a player is pleased with their application, they should submit it. Please remember that the general expected turnaround for applications is 24 to 48 hours. Please do not approach staff about your applications status until after the 48 hour window. Also, please keep in mind that applications are handled in the order in which they are received.
