On the occasion that a plot or scene needs a simple NPC human, we have the Temp Character Code. This code allows an approved character to create a temporary, human character for a short period of time. These characters do come with limitations though. Players should expect the characters to have only basic stats geared toward their 'theme', as well as a generic, generated description. In addition to their simplicity, please remember the rules which players are expected to follow when employing temp characters.

  • Temporary characters may not, for any reason, PK a PC without prior staff clearance.
  • Temporary characters may not be used to damage or hinder plots without the plot runners permission.
  • Temporary characters may not be accessed by unapproved players. Creating a Temp character for someone who is not a player on CN, will result in disciplinary actions being taken.
  • Remember, temporary characters are nuked once they are disconnected and are not saved. In addition, XP cannot be earned by temporary characters. On the occasion that a temp character is used to further RP, players may submit a request for XP to be granted to the player responsible for running the temporary character.

    Commands

  • +TPC/<Type> <Male/Female>: To create a temporary character.
  • Types: Thug, Criminal, Average Citizen, Business Person, College Student, Homeless Person, Police Officer, Doctor, EMT
  • +TName <Name>: Can be used to change the name of the temporary character.
